MISSIONARY IN CALDAS DA RAINHA
After years living in Mexico, God showed Isabel a new path. In this new phase, Isabel ended up getting involved with the “Hearts with Life” ministry in Caldas da Rainha. This ministry is a second-hand clothing store that, with a very welcoming atmosphere, receives people to buy something or simply to chat and have coffee or tea. The main objective is to listen to the people who come in and create friendships in order to share God’s love with them.
Isabel’s role involves managing and directing the group of volunteers. In addition, she also establishes contacts with visitors. At this point, you already have a contact group that regularly has opportunities for sharing. With one of these contacts, you are already conducting regular Bible studies. These contacts appear in “Hearts with Life” with complex problems, and even more so: the suicide rate in Caldas da Rainha is one of the highest in the country, and it occurs mainly among young people.
Regarding Mexico, Isabel continues trying to follow the work there through her personal contacts.
